I love fast cars, but like most people in the world I can’t afford one of my own. We all dream of cars that are simply amazing with £100,000 plus price tags. The cars immediately jumping into our head would be the big boys in the market Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin, I suppose you could throw the Mercedes McLaren SLR road car in there to, the Mclaren SLR price a cool £330,000, a big dent in your bank balance. One supercar that everyone forgets about is the Pagani Zonda. The Italian supercar is manufactured in Pagani, Italy and will be shortly releasing its final F edition. Unlike The above mentioned supercars Pagani are a bit more daring with the mean looking body shape of the Zonda, and the pure pace and acceleration given to the car. Here we have a look at Zondas best.

Pagani Zonda C12

Pagani released its debut Zonda in 1999. The mid engine supercar is powered by a Mercedes Benz M180 V12 engine which uses the w/Pagani intake management system. The result was the Pagani Zonda C12 only 5 of the original cars were made. Pagani clearly looking at quality over quantity, the C12 could do 0 -60 in 4.2 seconds and be at 100mph in 8.2 seconds, with 481bhp (Break Horse Power) the top speed was 206mph. Only three of the original cars were sold the Pagani Zonda price $320,000 each, out of the other two one was used for crash testing, expensive test! and the other was used as a demonstrator. This car cemented Pagani into the supercar ranks, and Pagani went on to produce the Zonda C12 S, Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3 the Zonda C12 S Monza and Zonda C12 F.

Pagani Zonda F

The Roadster F was released in 2006 and is fitted with a 7.3 Litre Mercedes AMG V12 engine has 650bhp with a top speed of 214mph. This is the car that really placed the Zonda on the map, with its rugged looks and blistering speed. It was tested on BBC motoring show Top Gear the same time as the Bugatti Veyron, test driver The Stig done a lap in both cars the Zonda coming in at 1.17.8 almost 2.5 seconds faster than the Veyron. Check the lap below.

This for me has to be the most stylish Zonda going, I love the rest of the cars but am sometimes put off by the appearance. This one however is just that bit different I think for me it’s the colour which gives the car a stylish make over. I would not normally like multi coloured cars but this one looks great. The Zonda Cinque Roadster is again fitted with the AMG V12 engine with 678bhp giving it a top speed of 217mph and 0 – 60 in 3.4 seconds. This car was built as part of Zondas reputation to make a Roadster version of all their road going cars and if you want one….the cost is £1.3 million not including the taxes, a very big dent in your pocket, but if you have got it to spend then worth every penny I’m sure.

Pagani's really are the ultimate supercars and they have recently finished the Zonda Roadster F Final Edition much like the Zonda F this roadster comes with a little extra break horsepower and will call an end to the F edition cars, the price well I’m not sure on new but a used one will set you back £1.4 million. I think for now I will be sticking to my Ford Focus and Renault Scenic.
